01 December 2019, Silaunja (Bodhgaya, Gaya): Mrs.Induprabha Sinha and Mrs.Rajnandni Sinha from Gaya have met the children at Lord Buddha Home for Children. They donated Rs. 10,000 to LBHC to take care of these destitute children. NBJK family expresses sincere gratitude to these generous ladies for their motherly affection to children.

30 November 2019, Bokaro: Career counselling class taken by the CSR volunteers along with T-shirt distribution programme for the trainees at Rojgar Training Centre,  Bijulia, Bokaro. They all participated in a campaign for Voters’ Awareness as Jharkhand is going through assembly election.

30 November 2019, Bahera, Chouparan (Hazaribag): At NBJK run Surekha Prakash Bhai Public School, 5 days inter house Kabaddi tournament ended with victory of Tagore House over Gandhi House by 28-7 in final match. This was initiated with introduction of players with Ms Rina Pandey (Principal, SPPS) who tossed a coin. Earlier JP House and Subhash House have participated in league matches. The players like Kritika, Saloni, Sandhya, Sanjana and many others have performed well in the final match. Mr. Rakesh Ranjan, Mr. Umesh Bhagat, Mrs. Abhilasha Singh, Ms Farhat Jehan, Mrs. Shweta Yadav and other teachers have contributed to the event. The principal has appreciated Kabaddi as a game for strengthening of our physical-mental abilities and to boost up self-confidence.

26 November 2019, Sokhodeora (Nawada, Bihar): A sister concern Gram Nirman Mandal has remembered late Tripurari Sharan (previous head of GNM & ex-national president of Lok Samiti) on his birthday. On this occasion, GNM run Krishi Vigyan Kendra organized a symposium upon “Agriculture & Climate Change” and celebrated the day as “Constitution Day & Citizens Duties Campaign” to pay regards to Tripurari Babu, a true follower of Gandhi, Vinoba & JP.

23 Nov & 02 Dec’19, Masaudhi (Patna) & Kahalgaon (Bhagalpur), Bihar: On 23 November’19 under banner of Patna District Lok samiti, farmers’ convention held at village Gangachak. Mr. Kaushal Ganesh Azad (national coordinator, Lok Samiti) appealed state govt. to support the farmers as they suffered from drought & flood. Also he demanded for pension to farmers and residential land for landless-destitute people. Mr. Upendra Pd. was on chair, Mrs. Pramila Kumari (Women Lok Samiti) anchored the convention participated by 100+ farmers. On 02 December at Kahalgaon (Bhagalpur), Bhagalpur Zila Lok Samiti organized one day convention. Mr. Shivji Singh (general secretary, Bihar State Lok Samiti) inaugurated the program and advocated for social security and financial support to farmers suffering from drought & flood turn by turn. Mrs. Raju Ranjana (district coordinator, women Lok samiti) welcomed all and Mr. Anukant Singh (deputy mukhiya, Bholsa panchayat) presided the convention.

23 November 2019, Hazaribag: One among 13 Rojgar Training Centres (RTCs) under the program of Providing Sustainable Livelihood to Youths (PSLY) by NBJK with support of Axis Bank Foundation-Mumbai, RTC Hazaribag planned a free health check-up camp in front of Annada College, Hazaribag and ensured check-up of blood pressure, blood sugar and body weight for more than 250 people.

Mrs. Kunti Kumari (Faculty, Bed Side Patient Attendant/BSPA course) and Anisa Parveen, Divya, Rimpa, Anita, Pratima, Puja, Ujjwal, Mantu (all trainees-BSPA) have played key role in organizing the camp. Also Mr. Rupesh Mallik (Centre Manager), Mr. Lalan Kumar (Mobilizer) and Mr. Rohit Kumar (Faculty, Cell Phone Servicing) were present on this occasion and provided proper information upon trades & training at RTC to youths/pedestrians.

It’s significant that RTC-Hazaribag offers 3 months course in BSPA, Computer Software, Hardware & Networking, Mobile Servicing, Beautician, Tailoring & Electrician for each including modules upon life skills, personality development & work readiness with registration charge of Rs. 500 only. Also this provides facility of campus interview & job placement. The health check-up camp was like any On Job Training for BSPA trainees that ensured publicity for RTC also.

21 November 2019, Khunti: Ikea CSR Head along with CInI Tata Trusts ED Mr. Ganesh Neelam, Regional Manager-Jh. Mr. Sirshendu Paul visited Khunti NBJK project area. They interacted with Lakhpati farmers, visited Rabi crop patch and Interacted with directors of Farmers Producers Co. The visit was for Fund Support for the ongoing program of Mission 2020: Lakhpati Kisan Smart Village being implemented by NBJK.

20 November 2019, Ranchi: On occasion of World Children’s Day, UNICEF-Jharkhand organized a press conference at Ranchi Press Club to celebrate UNCRC. This was joined by 30 child reporters from different schools, media representatives, Mr. Deepak Kumar (Gen. Secy. MAM-Jharkhand), Mr. Prashant Dash (CFO, UNICEF-Jharkhand), Ms Moira Dawa & Md. Salman (Communication Officers, UNICEF-Jharkhand) and Mrs. Sushmita Bhatacharji (Program Manager, NBJK). A child reporter Ms Saniya Kumari emphasized on how activities and programs have empowered them to raise voice. The child reporters interacted with media persons.

20 November 2019, Bokaro: Certificate distributed among passing out trainees of tailoring trade by NBJK run Rojgar Training Centre @ElectrosteelS @VedantaF

16 November 2019, Bahera (Chouparan, Hazaribag): Master Purushottam Chourasia, class IX student of NBJK run Surekha Prakash Bhai Public School, participated in Discovery School Super League 2019-20 by BYJU’S the learning app, Bangalore. He was declared 17th topper and awarded a badge for scoring 100% in a test held on 4th Oct. Purushottam has been shortlisted for counselling session & scholarship.
