10 August 2022, Hazaribagh: The women associated with Usha Silai School program by NBJK with support of Usha International Ltd, are contributing to “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign significantly.
Mrs. Nusrat Parveen, Mrs. Shanti Devi Mrs. Pammi Devi, Mrs. Renu Devi, Mrs. Sazida Khatoon and Mrs. Bhawna Preeti from Noora, Pasai, Mandai Khurd, Salgawan, Guruwa and Ompuri areas/villages respectively of Hazaribagh Sadar block, those run Usha Silai School at their places have shouldered the responsibility of making 1000 tricolor flags as each.
All 6000 flags are being made of Khadi cloth with financial aid from SIDBI. The national flags will be distributed at houses on 13th August with help of Mukhiya of the panchayat.
Mr. Felix Tirkey (SPO-UIL), Mr. Ankit Anurag and Mr. Shailesh Kumar (USSP-NBJK) monitor manufacturing and distribution of the flags.
06 August 2022, Hazaribagh: Abandoned aged persons and spastic children availed eye care facilities under Inclusive Eye Health program by NBJK with support of Sightsavers. A medical team from the organization run LNJP Eye Hospital, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh) has visited Old Age Home, Dipugadha and Spastic School, Hurhuru at Hazaribagh urban.
At Old Age Home, 21 senior citizens went through their eye checkup and 9 have been detected with Cataract. LNJPEH will arrange their surgery, medicines & glasses. 8 old aged persons were suffering from Refractive Error and they will be provided spectacles by the hospital. Another screening camp took place at Spastic School and ensured eye test for 20 spastic children there. Such 3 children will get glasses for vision problem because of refractive error.
All the services are being provided free of cost under the program.
Mr. Niraj Kumar and Mr. Sanatan Kumar (Staffs, Old Age Home) as well as Mr. Manish Kumar Sinha (Secretary), Mr. Surendra Kumar (Spl. Educator), Mrs. Suniya Devi, Mrs. Seeta Devi, Mr. Vijay Ambashtha of Spastic School have cooperated to organize the camps. LNJPEH medical team was comprised by Mr. Pravin Singh (Optometrist), Mrs. Seema Devi (ANM), Mr. Lakhan Ram & Mr. Dinesh Ram (Mobilizers). Mr. Kirti Rawat (DPC-Eye Health, Sightsavers), Ms. Nidhi Kshetri (DPC-Social Security, Sightsavers) and Mr. Deepak Sharma (Facilitator-SS, Sightsavers) were present on the occasion.
03 August 2022, Fatehpur (Jamtara): Under the program of Inclusive Eye Health with support of CBM, NBJK run LNJP Eye Hospital, Dumka has conducted school screening camps for school children.
At Upgraded Middle School, Murabahal, 44 students went through eye checkup and 01 found with refractive error.
While at Upgraded High School, Binadapathar, eye screening of 129 students took place and 07 among them have been identified with refractive error.
All the children with refractive error will be provided spectacles free of cost.
04 August 2022, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh): NBJK run Amoli Apurva Middle School has celebrated 525th birth anniversary of Goswami Tulsidas, a great saint and an outstanding poet of medieval India.
A meeting was organized at the school on this occasion and Mr. Premchand Ram (Head Teacher, AAMS) has highlighted the life of Tulsidas Ji with his contribution to society and literature. He said that Ramcharit Manas composed by Goswami Ji is read in millions of homes and inspires numerous people as the saint is distinguished for great devotion towards Lord Rama.
In order to commemorate and honour Saint Goswami Tulsidas Ji on his birth anniversary, NBJK arranged lunch for 220 school children and they had it happily.

02 August 2022, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh): NBJK run LNJP Paramedical Institute (govt. recognized) has organized a Convocation Ceremony at the organization’s LokNayak JayPrakash Eye Hospital premises and successful students of 2019-21 batch have obtained their diploma of Ophthalmic Assistant.
Mr. Satish Girija (Secretary, NBJK), Mr. Gandharv Gaurav (Program Director, NBJK), Dr. (Ms.) Vishakha Gupta (Ophthalmologist, LNJPEH), Mr. Santosh Puri (Manager, LNJPEH), Mr. Karuna Nidhi (Program Coordinator, LNJPEH), Mr. Virendra Sinha (Manager, NBJK Bahera), Mr. Vikant Singh (Principal, LNJPPI) and Mr. Aambar Nidhi Shroff (Teacher, LNJPPI) have graced the function through their presence.
It started with lighting the lamp and visitors’ welcome. On this occasion, passed students have shared their experiences and received blessings from teachers & guests.
Mr. Satish Girija conveyed his best wishes to the diploma holders and expected to follow professional ethics by them while serving the people. Other guests also extended their compliments to the alumni as well as junior students have presented their views.

30 July 2022, Hazaribagh: NBJK run LNJP Eye Hospital, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh) has organized Eye Screening Camp at Observation Home, Hazaribagh under Netra Vasant-Rural Eye Health program with support of Sightsavers.
This ensured eye checkup for 115 juveniles & staffs of the observation home and distributed needful medicines among them. Also they have been made aware about preventive measures against seasonal eye diseases very common during rainy days.
Mrs. Indu Prabha Khalkho (District Social Welfare Officer-cum-Superintendent, Observation Home), Mr. Sanjay Prasad (District Child Protection Officer), Mr. Kavindra Nath Thakur (Probationary Officer), Mr. Naveen Kumar-Mr. Manoj Kumar (Teachers on Deputation) and staffs of the home were present on the occasion.
The camp organizing team was comprised by Mr. Santosh Puri (Manager, LNJPEH), Mr. Kirti Rawat (DPO, Netra Vasant), Mr. Vikant Singh (Optometrist) and other support staffs like Ms. Soni Kumari, Ramlakhan Bhuiyan, Raju Rajak, Mr. Krishna Chandravanshi, Mr. Dinesh Ram and Mr. Rohit Kumar.
28 July 2022, Jamtara: NBJK run LNJP Eye Hospital, Dumka has organized a school screening camp at Rajkiyakrit (Government) +2 High School, Majhladih at Fatehpur block in Jamtara district.
Total 377 students have availed eye checkup and 13 among them have been provided spectacles because of hypermetropia. This eye care service was free of cost under CBM supported Inclusive Eye Health program by LNJPEH, Dumka.
Mr. Uttam Kumar Mandal (Headmaster) & other teachers have fully cooperated to arrange the affairs. Mr. Rajkumar Ghosh (VT), Mr. Vishnu Kumar (OA) and other support staffs from LNJPEH contributed to the event.
28 July 2022, Wazirganj & Fatehpur (Gaya): As the activities of Inclusive Eye Health project with support of CBM, NBJK run LNJP Eye Hospital, Kajha (Wazirganj) has provided an orientation training upon Eye Screening & Referral for ASHAs at Wazirganj Primary Health Center on 28th July.
Total 53 ASHAs have participated in this training. An optometrist & support staffs were resource persons in the event.
Before that on 25th July, a school screening camp held at Baghahi Primary School in Fatehpur block. A medical team from LNJPEH Kajha reached there for eye screening of the school children.
Total 64 children went through their eye checkup and 02 have been identified with refractive error.
These events contributed to mass awareness towards eye care at grassroots.
25 July 2022, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh): NBJK run & CBSE affiliated Surekha Prakash Bhai Public School has organized Basketball Tournament for its girl students. Ms. Rina Pandey (Principal, SPBPS) inaugurated the event by toss.
First two matches have been played as Tagore House vs. Subhash House and Gandhi House against JP House. Subhash House and JP House emerged as winners against their opposing teams with 4.2 & 6.2 points respectively. Final match was played between Subhash House and JP House, in which Subhash House declared as winner by 4.2 points. The very honor of the “Player of the Tournament” went to Srishti Singh from JP House.
The school teachers like Mr. Rakesh Ranjan (PTI), Mr. Umesh L. Bhagat and Mr. Santosh Chaurasiya have contributed as match referees while Mrs. Farhat Jehan, Mrs. Shweta Yadav and Mrs. Purnima Singh have worked hard as the coaches of participating teams.
The Principal has honored the players & teams as well as boosted their spirits. She said that soon we will send our girls’ basketball team to participate in a district level inter-school tournament.
25 July 2022, Deoghar-Giridih: NBJK run Vimla Ramakrishna Bajaj Eye Hospital, Deoghar has organized eye screening camps frequently in rural areas of Deoghar & Giridih districts.
During the period of 17 – 25 July, it organized 18 eye screening camps at Bajto,Lakhanua, Tilona, Jhundi, Harkatta, Medinipur, Gauripur, Simpur, Pipratand, Ledha, Piprasol, Bharwa, Katghari etc villages of Madhupur, Mohanpur, Devipur, Bengabad, Giridih Sadar blocks and 536 people went through their eye checkup.
163 patients with Cataract, 161 with Refractive Error and 24 with other complications have been detected while 28 referred to base hospital and 53 availed medicines in these camps.
Also on 20th July, a training camp held for Sahiya didis/ASHAs at Mohanpur CHC. Besides camps, it ensured community awareness and household screening.
