22-23 July 2022, Bahera (chauparan, Hazaribagh): The students of NBJK run & CBSE affiliated Surekha Prakash Bhai Public School, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh) have secured 100% result in class X & XII.

Total 203 students (girls-69, boys-134) appeared for class X exam and 11 (girls-4, boys-7) came out with 90% & above, 30 (girls-13, boys-17) with 80% & above, 54 (girls-16, boys-38) with 70% & above, 70 (girls-24, boys-46) with 60% & above, 32 (girls-12, boys-20) with 50% & above and 6 (only boys) with 40% & above marks.

Among top 10 students, Nitesh Kr. Gupta stood as topper with 97% marks followed by Sachin Kr. (93%), Saurav Kr. (93%), Ankit Kr. Chourasiya (92%), Nitin Kr. Mahto (92%), Prince Kr. Prajapati (91%), Amlesh Kr. Saw (91%), Eshita Sarkar (91%), Amisha Kumari (90%) and Kalpana Nayak (90%).

For Class XII (Science & Commerce streams) exam, total 42 students (girls-19, boys-23) have appeared and 8 (girls-3, boys-5) passed with 90% & above marks while 17 (girls-7, boys-10) with 80% & above, 11 (girls-6, boys-5) with 70% & above, 5 (girls-3, boys-2) with 60% & above and 1 (boy) with 50% & above have marked their result.

Ishita Jain is the topper with 97% marks backed by Bittu Raj (94%), Jaykant Mishra (94%), Rishita Rashi (93%), Abhishek Shekhar (92%), Nikhil Kr. (91%), Anshu Priya (90%), Vivek Chandravanshi (90%), Snehil Raj (89%) and Satyam Kumar (89%) in the group of top ten.

Mr. Girija Satish (President, NBJK), Mr. Satish Girija (Secretary, NBJK), Mr. Gandharv Gaurav (Program Director, NBJK), Mr. Anand Abhinav (Program Director, NBJK), Ms Rina Pandey (Principal, SPPBS) and all teachers have greeted the students upon their magnificent success and conveyed best wishes for their bright future!!

21 July 2021, Giridih: Under Young India project with support of UTI Mutual Fund, NBJK run Mission Rozgar Training Center, Giridih has organized guest lecture event for its trainees.

Mr. Mithun Raj (Teacher, Mangrodih High School) shared his views before the youths on this occasion. He inspired MRTC trainees and put examples from own life about importance of positive attitude towards constructive changes. Also he interacted with the audience by either putting or inviting questions to make a live discourse.

At end of the session, the trainees, Ms. Rumana Azmat (Center Co-ordinator) and faculty members have expressed their gratitude to Mr. Mithun Raj.

Total 54 trainees from the trades of Basic Computer Applications, Tally, General Duty Assistant and Beautician have attended the lecture.

21 July 2022, Daru (Hazaribagh): NBJK, Sightsavers and JSLPS have organized Eye Screening-cum-Social Security Facilitation Camp for PwDs & Senior Citizens at Irga panchayat bhawan at Daru block office premises.

This ensured eye checkup for 71 patients including 52 Persons with Disabilities. 12 persons were detected with Cataract, consultation for spectacles & medicines given to 09 with Refractive Error and to others suffering from minor eye problems respectively. All Cataract patients will get free surgery at NBJK run LNJP Eye Hospital, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh).

Besides this, online forms have been filled up for PwDs still lacking Disability Certificate, Ayushman Card, E-Shram Card, Pension, Insurance etc.

Mrs. Anita Devi (Mukhiya, Irga panchayat), all ward members, Sahiya Didi, Mr. Sunil Rana with Team JSLPS, CC, IRPC, Mr. Kirti Rawat (DPC, REH-Sightsavers), Mr. Deepak Kumar Sharma (SSF, Sightsavers), Mr. Vikas Kumar (LF, JSLPS), Ms. Nidhi Kshetri (DPC, SI-Sighsaver) and Mr. Akash Kumar (Optometrist, LNJPEH) have contributed to the camp.

20 July 2022, Hazaribagh: Today Mr. Girija Satish (President, NBJK) welcomed Mr. Naresh Sijapati, 28 years old young man from Ahmedabad with a tote bag & flex board fixed upon flag stick with tricolor.

He started his walking tour from Mumbai in Maharashtra on 14 June this year and reached to Jharkhand after crossing Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh. He will go to Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Gujarat at last.

This is 5100 km foot-soldiering spanned up to 120 days, but why?

For the cause of migrant laborers, Mr. Naresh says what mentioned on his flex board too. Self-learning and making people aware over the issues of migrant workers are my objective for this journey, he explains further.

As a token support to this courageous social worker, NBJK has arranged food & accommodation at Hazaribagh, Chauparan and Bodh Gaya on his way.

Mr. Naresh Sijapati belongs to a migrant laborer family from Nepal now settled at Ahmedabad. He runs “Panah” an organization there and works with migrant/semi-migrant laborers as providing training, jobs, education support to them & their children.

19 July 2022, Deoghar-Giridih: Jamnalal Bajaj Foundation supported & NBJK run Vimla Ramakrishna Bajaj Eye Hospital, Deoghar and its associated Vision Center with support of Sightsavers at Bengabad, Giridih have conducted community awareness, household & school screening in villages.

During the period of 03 to 16 July 2022, this covered villages/places like Misarna, Bandha middle school, Khijuriya middle school, Dorhi, Sundari, Sarsa, Sangramlorhiya, Baratand in Deoghar and Tara, Kolhariya, Aalodih, Badwara, Kendumore, Ghutiya, Gahirjor, Julmitand, Barmasiya, Ojhadih in Jamua, Bengabad, Gandey blocks of Giridih districts.

These eye camps have resulted as total 441 OPD and identified 146 patients of Refractive Error, 136 with Cataract, 17 with Pterygium and 31 with other eye problems. The patients suffering from Refractive Error got free consultation for glasses; 35 availed free medicines while remaining have been referred to VRBEH, Deoghar for surgery.

18 July 2022, Tankuppa (Gaya): NBJK run LNJP Eye Hospital, Kajha (Wazirganj, Gaya) has conducted training on Eye Screening & Referral for Accredited Social Health Activists & frontline health workers.

The training held at Tankuppa PHC under CBM supported Inclusive Eye Health Project and participated by 90 ASHAs with 30 frontline workers associated with the PHC. A senior Optometrist & support staffs from LNJPEH, Kajha have contributed to the event.

As another activity of the same project, eye screening camp for school children was organized at Dakkardas Nawada Madhya Vidyalaya, Gaya. Total 118 students have been screened, 02 found with reflective error and referred to base hospital to get spectacles free of cost. There was no child with Cataract.

16 July 2022, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh): NBJK run Surekha Prakashbhai Public School has organized Basketball Tournament among its four houses namely Gandhi, Tagore, Subhash and JP Houses. JP House was declared winner after final match with Gandhi House as defeated the later by 9 points.

Earlier Ms Rina Pandey (Principal, SPPS) inaugurated the tournament which began with first round between Gandhi House & Tagore House and second round as Subhash House vs JP House. In these initial matches, Gandhi & JP Houses won over their rivals to meet each other in final.

Master Dhananjay Kumar, a player from JP House received the honor as “Player of the Tournament” since he could make total 11 points against opposition teams and ensured victory for his team.

The event was supported by school teachers like Mr. Rakesh Ranjan (PTI), Mr. Umesh Lal Bhagat and Mr. Santosh Chaurasia as match referees while Mr. Bhola Sinha and Mr. Shankar Kr. Singh have encouraged the players as coaches.

In the closing ceremony, Ms Rina Pandey has conveyed her best wishes to all players for their good performance and announced for their future participation in Inter School Basketball Tournament going to be held at DAV Public School, Hazaribagh soon. She said that sports activities enable us to grow physically-mentally and instill a sense of togetherness with team spirit.

16 July 2022, Hazaribagh: At UTI Mutual Fund supported Mission Rozgar Training Center-Hazaribagh, 120 trainees from the trades like Basic Computer Applications, Tailoring, Beautician & General Duty Assistant have received their course completion certificates.

Mrs. Roshni Tirkey (Mayor, Hazaribagh) was chief guest on this occasion who said about the need of skilled youth force including young girls for development of our family-society. She called women’s participation as much important in every walk of life.

Initially Mr. Girija Satish (President, NBJK) has shared about different programs by NBJK in favor of common people and conveyed his best wishes to passing out trainees. Also Mrs. Satyabhama (Social Worker), Mr. Pramod Kumar (Palmist), Mr. Rajeev Singh (HR-Operations, Arogyam Hospital) and Mr. Vivek Kumar (Manager, Suzuki Showroom) have graced the certification ceremony and assured to support the trainees for their placement.

Earlier during introductory session, Mr. Rupesh Mallik (MRTC In-charge) informed that currently the youths of second batch have completed their three months courses and 59 with 49 females have already received placement offers. Soon others too will get jobs as the process is going on.

Also Mr. Mrityunjay (Placement Officer, MRTC), Mr. Rajeev (Senior Program Manager, NBJK), Mrs. Shobha, Mrs. Shalini, Mrs. Anjana, Mrs. Kunti, Mr. Aniket (All Faculties) were present in the certificate ceremony.

13 July 2022, Katkamsandi (Hazaribagh) & Kajha (Wazirganj, Gaya): Under joint auspices of Sightsavers, JSLPS & NBJK, a special eye screening camp was organized at Katkamsandi panchayat bhawan, Hazaribagh.

Total 80 persons including 25 PwDs and 9 children have turned up for their eye checkup which detected Cataract with 11, refractive error with 24 and remaining with minor complications.

Cataract suffering people will get free surgery at NBJK run LNJP Eye Hospital, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh).

As another event with support of CBM, training on Inclusive Eye Care took place for the leaders of DPOs (Differently-abled Persons’ Organizations) at LNJP Eye Hospital, Kajha (Wazirganj, Gaya).

Overall 32 participants from 24 blocks of Gaya District have participated in this empowerment initiative.

09 July 2022, Hazaribagh: Under Inclusive Eye Health Program, a special free eye screening camp for Persons with Disabilities was organized at old block office premises near Jhinjhariya pul as a joint effort of Sightsavers, JSLPS and NBJK.

This ensured 68 OPD with 58 PwDs out of which 10 were children. After checkup, 08 have been found as cataract ridden, 21 suffering from refractive error and remaining with other eye problems. All cataract patients will avail free surgery at NBJK run LNJP Eye Hospital, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh), specs prescribed for patients of refractive error while others got medical consultation.
