30 October 2021, Chakla (Ranchi): Under NBJK run Usha Silai School program, 20 tribal women from Manika block of Latehar district in Jharkhand have completed 9 days residential training upon tailoring & sewing machine maintenance at the training centre of NBJK.

The trainees have been introduced to advance skills on different dresses making and an orientation to functioning as well as problems fixing of sewing machine. Mrs. Sandhya Agrawal and Mrs. Pooja Devi were trainers who supported the women for their practical learning.

After the training, all participants have received new sewing machine, signboard, guidebook and certificate as one for each. They will initiate their own Usha Silai School at their places. The event was specially organized for tribal women.

Mr. Felix Tirkey (Program Officer, Usha International), Mr. Ram Pravesh Prasad (In-charge, NBJK Training Centre, Chakla), Mr. Shailesh Kumar (Program Co-ordinator, NBJK) and Mr. Subhash Chandra Bose (Social Worker, Latehar) have contributed to the event.
