Surekha Prakash Bhai Public School Hosts Thrilling Inter-House Basketball Tournament

03 December 2024, Bahera (Chouparan, Hazaribagh): Surekha Prakash Bhai Public School (SPBPS), run by Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK), organized an exciting Inter-House Basketball Tournament among its four houses – Gandhi, Subhash, JP, and Tagore. The event showcased the students’ athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

The final match, held amidst great enthusiasm, saw Gandhi House secure victory over Tagore House with an impressive score of 14–05. The players from Gandhi House – Alok, Ravikant, Shivam, and Aryan – delivered stellar performances, leading their team to triumph and earning the prestigious title of “Players of the Tournament.”

The tournament was inaugurated by the school’s principal, Ms. Rina Pandey, who tossed the coin for the final match. Post-match, she awarded trophies, medals, and certificates to the winning and runner-up teams, along with all participating teams. In her address, Ms. Pandey praised the students for balancing academic excellence with outstanding achievements in sports.

The event was successfully organized under the guidance of the school’s sports teachers, Mr. Rakesh Ranjan and Mr. Umesh Bhagat, with support from teachers Mr. Ashutosh Kumar, Mrs. Amrita Maishy, Mr. Pawan Kumar, Mr. Ajit Kumar, Mrs. Purnima Singh, and Mr. Shailendra Guru.

This tournament not only encouraged physical fitness but also fostered a sense of camaraderie and healthy competition among students, reflecting SPBP School’s commitment to holistic development.
