27 July 2018, Hazaribag: With support of Jharkhand State Social Welfare Board, Ranchi and Central Social Welfare Board, New Delhi, NBJK run Family Counselling Centre (FCC) has called its Subcommittee meeting at the premises of Women’s Police Station, Hazaribag. The meeting helds quarterly and this was presided over by Mrs. Emeltina Ekka (Officer in-charge).
The members have suggested to make proper enquiry in the cases come to FCC. They were in favour of dialogue with family members, next door neighbors and relatives of both the parties to draw about facts keeping view of a sustainable reconciliation process. Mrs. Ekka has offered for joint efforts for such initiatives if required for any dispute settlement. Mrs. Meera Gupta (Counsellor, FCC) has tabled the quarterly report of Family Counselling Centre before honorable members that shown the registration of total 39 cases during the period of May – July 2018.
These cases are clubbed as Dispute with Son & Daughter-in-law (03 nos.), Alcohol born domestic violence (06 nos.), Marital dispute (21 nos.), New marriage by husband (02 nos.), Land dispute (03 nos.) and Other family disputes (04 nos.). Mrs. Gupta has informed about compromise between the plaintiffs and defendants in 11 cases due to timely intervention by Family Counselling Centre.
The Subcommittee members present in the meeting were Ms Veena Sethi (advocate), Mrs. Sheela Kumari (social worker), Mr. Arvind Jha (advocate), Mrs. Usha Devi, Ms Annie Thomas, Mrs. Seema, Mr. Mukesh, Mrs. Saraswati and Mr. Sanjay Kumar (counsellor, FCC).
