Shoes Distributed among #SchoolChildren @Plan_India

6 June, Hazaribag: Though school education is a right for all children but it’s a habit also to be promoted by providing them shoes as NBJK and Plan India do under Child Centered Community Development (CCCD) program in Churchu along with other blocks of Hazaribag district.

At Zila (+2) High School, Hazaribag, 383 students have got school shoes in a function organized by NBJK-Plan India in presence of Mrs. Sarita Dadel (District Education Officer, Hazaribag) as the chief guest who appreciated this initiative of shoe distribution among school children. She pointed out about impact of such good deeds around children and encouraged all recipients to take care of others like the very spirit of this event. Mr. Satish Girija (Secretary, NBJK) has explained shoe distribution as a support activity to boost up school turnout as well as caring of needy students. The function was started with welcome address by Md. Ashzad (Principal, Zila School) who thanked NBJK-Plan people for coming with such idea to support school education. From Dec’13, we have covered 1278 schools in 14 blocks of the district and distributed 3 lacs 6 hundred twenty-one pairs of shoes among children under this activity; Mr. Ranjan Kumar (Program Manager, CCCD) has informed during the function.

Shoe distribution ceremony was anchored by Mr. Sukhmangal Singh (Teacher, Zila School) and a support team of Mr. Shivesh Verma (Consultant, Plan India), Mr. Pritam Soni (Delivery In-charge), Mr. Amit Ranjan, Mr. Sunny Kumar (Supervisors) and others has contributed to the occasion.
