20 October 2022, Nawada (Bihar): Under the aegis of Nawada District Lok Samiti, a conference on the theme of “Quit Hate – Connect People” held at the auditorium of Bhojpuri City Palace, Nawada. The conference was chaired by Mr. Nagendra Sinha (President, Nawada District Lok Samiti) while Mr. Shivji Singh (General Secretary, Bihar State Lok Samiti) anchored the dais.
The conference was inaugurated collectively by the invitees and Mr. Girija Satish (National President-Lok Samiti & Gandhian Thinker) delivered keynote address on the occasion.
He was concerned about inflation, unemployment, corruption, farmer-labor problem, communalism, threat to democracy and termed all these as a challenge before India. Mr. Girija Satish called for a stable way out for flood & drought in Bihar and through the conference; he demanded from the government that free fertilizers, seeds, pesticides, agricultural equipment, electricity and irrigation should be arranged for the next crop among farmers. He said that Gandhi had envisioned an alcohol-free India and Lok Samiti demands strict implementation of the prohibition law in Bihar.
Mr. Kaushal Ganesh Azad (National Co-ordinator, Lok Samiti) said that today the world is on the verge of third world war due to the policy of expansionism and powerful countries should follow the path of Gandhi and Buddha to save the people from destruction. Mr. Azad appealed people to join the campaign “Nafrat Chhodo-Manav Jodo” by Lok Samiti from October 02 to 30 in Bihar & Jharkhand.
The conference was addressed by Mr. Shankar Rana (Convenor, JSLS), Mr. Rahul Mishra (President, Darbhanga DLS), Mr. Purushottam Kumar, Mrs. Rita Devi, Mr. Rambilas Kumar, Mr. Manoj Kumar, Mrs. Siya Devi, Mrs. Saraswati Devi also.
