12 September 2025, Hazaribagh: Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK), with support from Action Village India, has initiated a series of parent–teacher meetings under its Girls’ Education Project at Remedial Coaching Centres. Beginning on 8th September, meetings have already been held in villages of Sadar, Katkamsandi, and Katkamdaga blocks, engaging 147 parents.
The discussions cover critical aspects of girls’ education including academic performance, attendance, mental health, social media use, child marriage, gender equality, career planning, and participation in sports. Parents have also suggested expanding classes up to Grade 12 and addressing space constraints.
Currently, 550 rural girls from Classes 8–10 are receiving free coaching in Mathematics, Science, and English at these centres. Notably, in this year’s Class 10 board examinations, 128 out of 173 girls achieved First Division, reflecting the impact of the initiative.
The meetings will conclude by 17th September across 14 villages, strengthening collaboration between parents, teachers, and NBJK for the holistic development of rural girls.
