1 – 4 Sep’15, Hazaribag: Only activities are not enough rather change based management is vital, Mr. Prakash Layak (ASK, Gurgaon) has said during Outcome & Impact orientation to NBJK and partner VOs on Food Security. He viewed the goal of food security achievable as changes in people’s lives, identifying such transformation, assessment of the linked process and by ensuring its continuity. Mr. Layak, the resource person has rationalized the initiative by NBJK & 22 grassroots organizations from Jharkhand and Bihar to provide food security for 2500 needy people within next 3 years by facilitating them for self reliance, defined selection of beneficiaries and through a collective endeavor. He has made the theme much interesting by group discussion, films and case studies. Mr. Rajeev Kumar Singh (Program Manager, NBJK) has informed about the orientation as specific one for capacity building of the VOs and towards strengthening the idea for food self reliance among poor people in their operational areas with support of Bread for the World, Germany.
