15 April 2026, Hazaribagh: Under the Zomato supported Feeding India initiative, Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) has continued its efforts to provide nutritious meals to school children studying in its schools located in the Chouparan block of Hazaribagh district.
During the period 01 to 15 April 2026, a total of 5,906 breakfasts and 5,910 lunches were served to children across four NBJK-run schools. The initiative aims to improve the nutritional status of children and support their regular attendance and academic performance.
At Amoli Apurva High School, Mangarh, 2,278 breakfasts and an equal number of lunches were distributed during this period. Similarly, 1,645 breakfasts and 1,649 lunches were served to children at Amoli Apurva Middle School, Bahera, while 1,195 breakfasts and the same number of lunches were provided at Amoli Apurva Middle School, Prajapat Nagar. At Chandrakala Devi Daga High School, Kewaliya, 788 breakfasts and an equal number of lunches were served to the students.
Under the Feeding India program, children receive sprouted gram or green gram with milk as breakfast, and rice, pulses, and vegetables as lunch, ensuring that they get balanced and nutritious meals essential for their growth and well-being.
This initiative particularly benefits children from rural backgrounds, where parents are often engaged in agriculture and other livelihood activities. By providing regular nutritious meals in schools, the program helps reduce hunger, improve concentration in classrooms, and encourage consistent school attendance.
Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) expresses its sincere appreciation to Zomato Feeding India for their continued support in promoting child nutrition and education in rural communities.
