04 April 2026, Chouparan (Hazaribagh): With the support of the Zomato-supported Feeding India program, nutritious breakfasts and lunches were successfully provided to children studying in schools run by Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) in the Chouparan block of Hazaribagh district. The initiative aims to promote better nutrition, improve school attendance, and support the overall health and learning capacity of school children.
During the period 16–31 March 2026, the program covered 10 school days (11 days for Amoli Apurva High School, Mangarh). In total, 4,342 breakfasts and 4,409 lunches were served to students across four NBJK-run schools.
The distribution of meals across the schools was as follows:
Children were provided sprouted gram or green gram as breakfast and rice, pulses, along with vegetables as lunch, ensuring balanced and nutritious meals essential for their physical growth and academic performance.
