NBJK Serves 5,550 Breakfasts and Lunches to School Children under Feeding India Initiative

02 March 2026, Chouparan, Hazaribagh: Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) has successfully served 5,550 breakfasts and an equal number of lunches to school children in the Chouparan block of Hazaribagh district, Jharkhand, during 16–28 February 2026. The food support was provided under Feeding India, a giveback initiative of Zomato.

The meals were distributed across four schools:

• Amoli Apurva High School, Mangarh – 2,424 meals
• Amoli Apurva Middle School, Bahera – 4,040 meals
• Amoli Apurva Middle School, Prajapat Nagar – 2,920 meals
• Chandrakala Devi Daga High School, Kewaliya – 1,716 meals

Children were provided sprouted gram or green gram with milk for breakfast, and rice, pulses, and vegetables for lunch to ensure balanced nutrition.

As the initiative completes one and a half years in March 2026, it continues to significantly support families—especially mothers—by sharing the responsibility of meal preparation. The program has also contributed to improved school attendance, enhanced academic interest, and strengthened community bonding among students and guardians.

NBJK expressed its sincere gratitude to Zomato for the continued partnership and support, which is helping nurture healthier, more focused, and motivated learners in rural Jharkhand.
