08 June 2026, Hazaribagh: Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) jointly observed Total Revolution Day and World Environment Day on 5th June at its Coordination Office in Amrit Nagar, Hazaribagh, reaffirming its commitment to social transformation and environmental sustainability.

Speaking on the occasion, NBJK President Mr. Girija Satish said that the concept of “Total Revolution” propounded by Loknayak Jayaprakash Narayan remains a powerful framework for positive social change. Recalling JP’s historic address to youth at Gandhi Maidan, Patna, on June 5, 1974, he noted that the call for Total Revolution was essentially a call for transformative change in the prevailing system and society.

Highlighting the significance of World Environment Day, NBJK Secretary Mr. Satish Girija said that increasing carbon emissions are disrupting the natural balance of ecosystems, leading to climate change and greater weather uncertainty. He emphasized that large-scale plantation efforts can play an important role in addressing these challenges.

The plantation campaign was inaugurated by NBJK Programme Director Mr. Anand Abhinav, who planted a litchi sapling. As part of the initiative, the organization is providing one papaya sapling free of cost to each staff member to encourage tree plantation and environmental conservation.

The programme concluded with a collective pledge to work towards a greener environment and a more equitable society.
