#NBJK Celebrates #RepublicDay2019

26 January 2019, Hazaribag: 70th Republic Day was clebrated gracefully at the coordination office of NBJK. Mr. Girija Satish (President, NBJK) hoisted the national flag and led the recital of national anthem by the people present there. In his short address, Mr. Girija Satish said that independence & equality are like spirit of our constitution and we have equal respect for all religions but this must be reflected in our daily life. From October’19, NBJK will enter in its 50th years and we have decided to celebrate this as the Golden Jubilee Year. We worked amid the people under deep influence of casteism and superstition but fought with the ideas like Manav Jodo Abhiyan, Anti-liquor campaign and many more to ensure a change, he pointed out. Mr. Girija Satish opined that our development programs must focus upon individuals and their objective should be to facilitate individual schemes what a person thinks to be developed. The NBJK President has talked about village-Bahera where NBJK could be able to transform lives of some landless Bhuiyan families. He advocated for less water farming and referred Mahatma Gandhi for cleanliness, self-evaluation and liquor prohibition in Jharkhand.

Mr. Satish Girija (Secretary, NBJK) said that NBJK shares a role in making of this republic and spent 50 years in service of the people uninterrupted. Now our programs generate two third of total resources and there are more than 100 VOs promoted by NBJK, he proclaimed. Mr. Satish Girija thanked all the donors, supporters for their trust upon NBJK and talked about Golden Jubilee celebration from October in this year. He supported a legal ban upon liquor which women need from the government. Mr. Prabhu Nath Sharma (Treasurer, NBJK) has greeted all and called the day as Sankalp Diwas. He appealed to do own work honestly and to draw satisfaction by doing that well with interest.

In another program organized by the district admiistration, NBJK-Churchu has participated with a tableau bearing the message of Empowering Girl Children. In the schools and branch offices of NBJK, Republic Day was celebrated with parade, cultural show and feelings unbounded.
