15 August 2020, Hazaribag: 74th Independence Day of India was celebrated gracefully at the Coordination Office of Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra. Mr. Girija Satish (President, NBJK) has hoisted national flag and after national anthem, he delivered a short speech.

Currently we are passing through a critical time due to the pandemic COVID-19 but this too will end, Mr. Girija expressed his hope and paid rich tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. He remembered Gandhiji in context of a self-reliant India and said that development of profitable agriculture, dairy, rural industries can develop our villages and it needs support from all stakeholders. NBJK could develop resources for agriculture as involved with rural development for a long time; he pointed out and mentioned about Buniyadi Shiksha by Gandhiji. This one is skill based instead of only bookish knowledge under present education system. Mr. Girija Satish discussed about direction as well as limitation of science and correlated independence with self-reliance.

On this occasion, Mr. Satish Girija (Secretary, NBJK) said that even after 73 years of our independence, more than 10 lakh people are victim of forced migration in Jharkhand only. This is shameful and our rural areas need employment generation programs immediately, he added. Mr. Satish Girija has reminded about 50 years of NBJK and conveyed his best wishes to all workers. Mr. Prabhunath Sharma (Treasurer, NBJK) called the day as pious one to energize us and he appealed for self-appraisal. Also Mr. Gandharv Gaurav and Mr. Anand Abhinav (both Program Directors, NBJK) have addressed the program.
