04 December 2025, Khunti: Murhu Nari Shakti Kisan Producer Company Limited (MNSKPCL), a women-led tribal FPO from Khunti district, has been honoured with the “FPO of the Year – Large (Joint Winner)” at the FPO Impact Awards 2025 held in New Delhi. The award was presented by Mr. Shaji KV, Chairman, NABARD, during the Livelihood India Summit 2025 in Delhi.

Organised by Access Development Services, the event brought together leading agricultural experts, national institutions, civil society organisations, and jury members. MNSKPCL was recognised for its transparent governance, strong market linkages, value-chain development, and remarkable contribution to improving the livelihoods of tribal farmers.

Promoted by Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) under CInI’s Lakhpati Kisan Smart Village Programme, the FPO has emerged as a robust model of women-centric livelihood development. Established on 5 March 2018, it now includes 3,766 women shareholders, 7,425 registered farmers, and 99 active producer groups, with a cumulative turnover of ₹21.38 crore and ₹5.84 crore in FY 2024–25.

The FPO is engaged in aggregation and marketing of cereals, pulses, vegetables, fruits, poultry, eggs, goats, pigs, and IMC fish. It also promotes lac handicraft production with support from ONGC Foundation (through CInI) and NBJK. Through WRI India and CInI’s JHARVEER programme, a solar-powered ragi processing unit has been established, benefiting over 2,000 farmers with MSP-based procurement.

CEO Ms Divya Swaroop stated that the award reflects the commitment of tribal women farmers, the strong governance of the FPO, and support from NBJK, CInI, and partnering institutions. She reaffirmed the organisation’s aim to expand value chains, strengthen women’s leadership, and promote sustainable rural prosperity.
