04 June 2019, Ranchi: On the eve of Total Revolution Day (Sampoorn Kranti Diwas) i.e., 05th June, a thematic meeting was organized by Lok Samiti, Sarva Sewa Sangh, Sarvodaya Mitra Mandal and 150th Gandhi Jayanti Abhiyan at NBJK, Ranchi.

Mr. Girija Satish (President, NBJK & National Lok Samiti) has presided the meeting and said about relevance of the idea emerged as Total Revolution by Loknayak Jay Prakash Narayan aka JP. He compared current national circumstances with historical background of Total Revolution, focused upon respect to all religions and appealed to think deeply about the way religions influence development as well as Indian politics. The very mindset of negative politics is like a hurdle for development and this can be changed into the positive one by introducing election reforms, he pointed out. Mr. Girija Satish favoured for ideological orientation of youths to know about the leaders like Gandhi, JP, Lohiya, Ambedkar and supported all the efforts to make India liquor free.

Mr. Madhukar (Senior Journalist) discussed about India’s freedom struggle and Total Revolution movement of 1974 with a view to equip youths with all the seven dimensions of Total Revolution coined by JP. Our youths must get rid of communalism that misuses religions as a tool to justify hatred among people; he stated and called all non-political/civil society groups to work unitedly. Mr. Arvind Anjum (Ex-leader, JP Movement) appreciated the spirit of Sampoorn Kranti shouldered by small groups at tiny places. Mr. Mahadev Vidrohi (President, Sarva Seva Sangh) has recalled about prison time during Emergency (1975-77) and about learning from the period. Mr. Ashok Verma (Journalist) supported for people’s right to know the truth and we must go to them to explain about Sampoorn Kranti, he uttered. Mrs. Vilchen Ekka (Jharkhand State Lok Samiti) has raised the very issue of insecurity for women and called to work for them in continuity.

The meeting was addressed by Messrs Chandan Pal (Assam), Sheikh Hussain (Mumbai), Surendra Mishra, Arvind, Lalit, Mahaveer Kumar, Sunita, Santosh Kumar, Naveen, Basant Hetamsaria and others also. Dr. Vishwanath Azad (Sarvodaya Mitra Mandala) and Mr. Shankar Rana (Jharkhand Pradesh Lok Samiti) have conducted the proceedings. At last, a future action plan with concerned strategy on Total Revolution was chalked out with consensus.
