21 June 2026, Jamtara: Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) celebrated International Yoga Day at the Gram Seva Kendra in Mahishakhura Village, Bamandiha Panchayat, Fatehpur Block of Jamtara district under the SBI Gram Seva Project, supported by SBI Foundation.
The event brought together village youth and children who actively participated in the yoga session and learned about the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle through regular yoga practice. The programme aimed to promote physical fitness, mental well-being, and awareness about the benefits of yoga among rural communities.
The yoga session was conducted by Mr. Simant Mandal, Teacher of Upgraded High School, Bamandiha. He demonstrated various yoga postures and breathing exercises and encouraged participants to make yoga a part of their daily routine for better health, concentration, and stress management.
Mr. S. K. Yajal, Project Manager of the SBI Gram Seva Project, initiated and supervised the programme. Addressing the participants, he highlighted the significance of yoga in maintaining a balanced and healthy life. He also thanked all the youth, children, and community members for their enthusiastic participation and support in making the event successful.
The celebration reflected the project’s commitment to promoting holistic community development and encouraging healthy lifestyles among rural communities.
