01 July 2022, Silaunja (Bodhgaya), Gaya: Today inaugural ceremony of SBI Foundation supported SBI Sanjeevani-Clinic on Wheels has been organized at NBJK, Bodhgaya. Mr. Abhay Kumar (Regional Manager, State Bank of India) was chief guest of the function. He inaugurated this unique initiative to provide medical facility at doorstep of poor people and flagged off the Mobile Medical Van to villages. He mentioned about the project’s maiden launching in Bihar and said that soon we will go to other states-districts to access lacking villagers.
Initially Mr. Girija Satish (President, NBJK) welcomed the chief guest and all on this occasion with a brief introduction of NBJK. Since last 50 years we have been working over the issues of education, health-eye health, livelihood, support to small VOs, advocacy and every year nearly 3 lakh people get our services, he updated. Mr. Girija Satish said that NBJK run SBI Sanjeevani aims to reach around 50,000 people across 20 villages of Bodhgaya & Gaya Sadar blocks regularly with primary health service. The Mobile Clinic Van is equipped with many diagnostic facilities and accompanied by a medical team with doctor, lab technician, pharmacist, health assistant etc to provide proper checkup & medicines on the spot with a nominal registration charge of Rs. 20 only or free if patient is so incapable, he pointed out. NBJK President has expressed gratitude to SBI & SBI Foundation as SBI Sanjeevani-Clinic on Wheels project is making people aware towards their wellbeing and addressing their health related problems urgently. He congratulated Team SBI on 67th anniversary of the bank, praised the chief guest for his encouraging presence and appreciated important contribution of Ms Pratibha Kumari (Program Officer, SBIF) for her constant guidance. Also he thanked Mr. Satish Kumar (BDO, Bodhgay) and Dr. Manoj Kumar (BMO, Bodhgaya) for cooperation.
Ms Pratibha Kumari (PO, SBIF) said that currently the project is for one year duration but can be extended after good performance as we wish to cover every village of Bodhgaya.
Mr. Satish Kumar (BDO, Bodhgaya) endorsed this health initiative by NBJK-SBIF in favour of rural people and assured for all administrative support.
Mr. Pawanlal Gupta (Project Manager, NBJK) said that we are committed to reach all project villages and will try our best to provide quality health service to people.
Md. Nayeem (Asst. Manager, LBHC) has conducted the dais and around 120 persons including Mr. Manoranjan Kumar (Dy. Mukhiya), Dr. F. Ameen, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, Mr. Dilip Sharma, Mr. Santosh Kr. Sinha have participated in the event.
