Finolex-Mukul Madhav Foundation to help 500 Cataract Surgeries

04 July 2022, Ranchi: Today, a written agreement has been signed between NBJK and Pune based Finolex Industries Limited-its CSR arm Mukul Madhav Foundation that NBJK run LokNayak JayPrakash Eye Hospital, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh) will be financially funded under the company’s CSR support to conduct 500 cataract surgeries among poor people this year.

The agreement to this effect has been signed by Mr. Satish Girija (Secretary, NBJK) and Mr. Priyamurthy, (Jharkhand-Bihar Manager, Finolex).

Shri Priyamurthy said that we have cooperated with NBJK & LNJP Eye Hospital, for the last three-four years and their work at the village level is commendable. He expressed hope that this joint effort will yield good results. It may be noted that earlier also Finolex had sponsored 300 cataract surgeries.

Mr. Satish Girija while expressing his gratitude towards Finolex and Mukul Madhav Foundation said that this time we will be able to restore eyesight of 500 poor people suffering from cataract with the help and positive change will come to their lives. He informed that for this purpose, 40 eye check-up camps will be organized in the villages and after identifying the people suffering from cataract they will be brought to the base hospital by ambulance, after surgery they will be sent back to their villages after giving medicines and glasses etc. All the service will be free for them.

Mr. Ashok Jaiswar, India Head, Finolex Marketing and Mr. Anand Abhinav, Program Director, NBJK were also present on the occasion.
