Eye Health Care Training to ASHAs

25 November 2022, Charhi (Hazaribagh): One day training of 41 ASHAs & BTT trainers has been organized at Charhi panchayat bhawan in Churchu block of Hazaribagh district under Inclusive Eye Health program by NBJK with support of Sightsavers.

The training was focused upon basics of eye screening, cataract identification and disability along with referral services.

Sightsavers DPM Mr. Kirti Rawat, Ophthalmic Assistant Mr. Akash Kumar and BTT trainer Mrs. Lalita Kumari have contributed to the event.

Before this, an orientation upon accessibility of PwDs to referral eye health services through screening camps & vision centres with free of cost eye care services by LNJP Eye Hospital, Bahera (Chouparan, Hazaribagh) was organized for OPD leaders at Girls’ Middle School, Nawabganj, Hazaribagh on 23 November.

From Sightsavers, Mr. Kirti Rawat (DPM) with Mr. Deepak Sharma (SF) and Mrs. Neha Khatoon (Secretary, Divya Jyoti) facilitated the participants.
