Empowering Women through Usha Silai School Training in Hazaribagh

15 June 2024, Hazaribagh: Under the Usha International supported Usha Silai School program by NBJK, a 9-day Adopt Silai School Training commenced on 14th June 2024 in Salgawan village, Katkamdag block, Hazaribagh. The inauguration was graced by Mr. Felix Tirkey (State Program Manager, Usha International) and Mr. Shailesh Kumar (Program Coordinator, NBJK). Four women participants from Meru, Nawadih, Khirgaon, and Kadma villages are undergoing training at Mrs. Renu Devi’s house, a certified Usha Silai School Trainer.

They are learning sewing machine assembling, repair, and creating various trendy apparels. The training concludes on 22nd June 2024. Post-training, each participant will receive a new sewing machine, guide books, an Usha Silai School signboard, and a course completion certificate.

These empowered women will start Usha Silai Schools in their villages, promoting income generation through tailoring and offering training to neighboring women and girls.
