12 December 2021, Murhu (Khunti, Jharkhand): CInI Tata Trusts & NBJK will support implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission across 35 villages in Murhu block and a Program Launch Workshop held at Murhu block office. The workshop was inaugurated by Mr. Neelkanth Singh Munda (Hon. MLA, Khunti) and Mr. Arun Kumar Singh (DDC, Khunti) jointly in presence of Mr. Mithilesh Kr. Singh (BDO, Murhu), Ms Moniya Lata (CO, Murhu), Ms Alice Odeya (Pramukh, Murhu) and Mr. Subodh Manjhi (Dy. Pramukh).

Hon. MLA has drawn attention over the challenges like difficult geography and drying groundwater before successful implementation of the mission. But we have to accept this; he said and appealed PRIs’ members and villagers to cooperate the organizations. Mr. Munda suggested for selecting two villages from each panchayat and about priority for villages of Martyrs.

Mr. A. K. Singh (DDC, Khunti) has emphasized over water conservation through Bandh check dams, water bodies, soak pits and plantation to make JJM successful and requested women to come forward as they suffer a lot for water.

On this occasion, Mr. S. K. Dinkar (Executive Engineer, Drinking Water & Sanitation) has informed about completion of tender process for all villages & hamlets. The work will be visible within two months, he assured and updated that for tap water connection, a family has to pay Rs. 310 once and afterwards Rs. 62 monthly or less if Gram Sabha wishes, to village drinking water & sanitation committee to sustain the scheme.

CInI Tata Trusts & NBJK will be in role of Collaborators for this ambitious scheme of Jal Nal Mission going to be executed at 35 villages by DWS dept. under Gram Sabha & Panchayti Raj system. Earlier these villages have been selected under the program of Lakhpati Kisan Smart Village by CInI Tata Trusts & NBJK and now going to be every house with tap water facility. Tata Water Mission will provide fund for this vital fulfillment.

The workshop was contributed by CInI Tata Trusts & NBJK people like Mr. Gautam Mundu, Mr. Somnath Das, Ms Shahin Naz, Mr. Chaitanya K. Gounjhu, Mr. Mohit Purty, Mr. Anil Hassa, Ms Roshni Topno, Mr. Kalyan Kumar, Mr. Abhijit Mal and Mr. Manohar Tuti also.
