Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra

09 June 2026, Jamtara: Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK), under the SBI Foundation-supported SSBI Gram Seva Project, organized a goat distribution programme in front of the Gram Seva Kendra office at Mahishakhura village in Fatehpur block of Jamtara district.

During the programme, 55 goats were distributed among 55 poor farmers of Turka village to support sustainable livelihood generation and enhance household income through livestock rearing.

The event was attended by Dr. Monoj Kumar, Touring Veterinary Officer of Fatehpur Block, and Shri Santosh Tudu, Mukhiya of Bamandiha Panchayat, as chief guests. They appreciated the initiative and encouraged beneficiaries to adopt scientific animal husbandry practices for better productivity and income.

Around 120 people from Mahishakhura, Turka, Karjori, Bamandiha and Dudhani villages of Bamandiha Panchayat participated in the programme. The event also served as a platform to create awareness about livestock management and the importance of livelihood diversification among rural households.

The goat distribution initiative is part of NBJK’s ongoing efforts under the SBI Gram Seva Project to strengthen rural livelihoods and improve the socio-economic conditions of vulnerable families in the region.
