14 July 2021, Hazaribag: With support of GiveIndia @GiveIndia, US GiveIndia Foundation, Skoll Foundation @SkollFoundation and Linde @LindeIndia @LindeIndia1 NBJK run Covid Care Outreach Camp program has expanded its coverage in Katkamsandi block now.
In the span of 5-14 July, the camps held at many panchayats like Kanchanpur, Romi, Kandsar, Khutra, Daandh, Lupung, Gadokhar, Shahpur, Dhothwa, Kathautiya, Datokhurd … and all 18 panchayats of the block will be covered in this week. At the outreach camp of Kanchanpur, Mr. Omprakash Kumar (Community Co-ordinator, JSLPS) and Mr. Deepak Sharma (Social security Facilitator, Sightsavers) have co-operated notably.
In these camps, many persons like Mrs. Bhuneshwari Devi from Kanchanpur, Md. Asgar Ali from Romi, Mr. Vijay Ram from Kandsar, Mrs. Anima Khatun from Khutra, Mr. Chandradev Saw from Daandh have been identified with diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, symptoms of COVID and got consultations from physicians with medicines free of cost. Mr. Rajkumar Mehta (Mukhiya, Kandsar) and Mr. Minhaz Husain (Mukhiya, Daandh) have contributed a lot to organize the camps in their panchayats. Dr. (Mrs.) Megha Sinha and Dr. R. N. Sinha are serving as physicians in these camps.
Mr. Anjani Sinha (Program Manager) said that during the period of 15 June-14 July, Covid Care Outreach Camps have registered 3,493 patients from 169 villages of 52 panchayats in Hazaribag Sadar, Daru & Katkamsandi blocks. They went under checkup of oxygen level, blood pressure, sugar, fever with other symptoms of COVID and received observation & consultation from MBBS doctors. 225 persons have been identified with high blood pressure while 450 found with high sugar. Medicines were made available to around 85% of all the patients.
Also these camps have acknowledged 55 Rural Medical Practitioners and provided sets of Oximeter-Infrared Thermometer-Sanitizer bottle to 50 RMPs for betterment of their service.
