03 June 2026, Chouparan (Hazaribagh): Under the Feeding India initiative supported by the Eternal Foundation, New Delhi, four schools run by Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK) in Chouparan block of Hazaribagh district successfully provided nutritious meals to students before the commencement of the summer vacation.

During the period from 16 to 21 May 2026, the schools served a total of 2,967 breakfasts and an equal number of lunches, benefiting hundreds of children. Thus, 5,934 nutritious meals were provided in just five days.

Among the participating schools, Amoli Apurva High School, Mangarh served 1,375 breakfasts and 1,375 lunches. Amoli Apurva Middle School, Bahera provided 691 breakfasts and 691 lunches, while Amoli Apurva Middle School, Prajapat Nagar served 600 breakfasts and 600 lunches. Chandrakala Devi Daga High School, Kewaliya distributed 301 breakfasts and an equal number of lunches.

The breakfast menu consisted of sprouted gram or green gram along with milk, while lunch included rice, pulses and vegetables. Meals were prepared and served following high standards of hygiene and nutrition, contributing to the health and well-being of the children.

Teachers and school management committees appreciated the initiative, noting that nutritious meals help improve students’ attendance, concentration and overall learning experience. The programme has also brought joy and enthusiasm among the children.

The schools are presently closed for summer vacation and will reopen on 12 June 2026. The Feeding India initiative will resume thereafter, continuing its support for the nutritional needs of the students.
