30 March 2026, Ranchi: Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK), with the support of UNICEF Jharkhand, successfully organized a Teachers’ Workshop under the Child Reporters Program on March 30, 2026, at Hotel LeLac, Ranchi. The workshop was attended by 100 participants, including 74 teachers, Block and District Education officials, and representatives from UNICEF and NBJK.
The workshop aimed to strengthen teachers’ capacity on child rights, child protection mechanisms, and key legislations such as the POCSO Act, Juvenile Justice Act, and Right to Education Act. Sessions also focused on critical issues including prevention of child marriage, gender sensitivity, life skills education, nutrition, and environmental sustainability under Mission LiFE and the WASH program.
Officials from the education department appreciated the initiative and emphasized the important role of teachers in safeguarding children and promoting their holistic development.
The workshop provided a valuable platform for knowledge sharing and collaboration, reinforcing the commitment of stakeholders to empower children and create a safe, supportive, and child-friendly educational environment.
