18 September 2025, Hazaribagh: St. Columba’s College, Hazaribagh, in collaboration with Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra (NBJK), District Lok Samiti, and Jharkhand Sarvodaya Mandal, organized a seminar on “Youth of India and Social Service” to mark the centenary of Mahatma Gandhi’s visit to the college.
The program began with tributes at Gandhi’s statue, an exhibition on his life, and devotional songs. Senior Advocate Swaroopchand Jain, Principal Dr. Bimal Raven, NBJK Secretary Mr. Satish Girija, and academicians from Vinoba Bhave University highlighted Gandhi’s enduring relevance, especially his message of character, self-reliance, and commitment to social service.
Over 100 students and faculty members participated, reflecting on Gandhi’s vision and drawing inspiration for nation-building through service.
