16 June 2025, Churchu (Hazaribagh): A special awareness session on Social Safety was conducted at NBJK-run Roshni Dhruva High School, Nagri (Churchu), in Churchu block of Hazaribagh district. The session was led by Mr. Nitish Kumar Singh, Officer In-charge of Churchu Police Station, who addressed students of classes IX and X on various aspects of personal and social safety.

Speaking to the young audience, Mr. Singh emphasized, “Our safety is in our own hands.” He urged students to stay alert and informed about the rising issues of drug abuse, which is increasingly affecting the youth and weakening the nation’s foundation. The session covered critical topics such as drug trafficking, drug addiction, and the vulnerability of teenagers to substance abuse.

Highlighting the importance of awareness and timely action, Mr. Singh encouraged students to be vigilant, verify rumors before acting, and keep a safe distance from antisocial elements. He also shared helpline number 112 for reporting any safety concerns or incidents.

A total of 96 students participated in this impactful session. Mr. Dineshwar Singh, Principal of RDHS, expressed his gratitude by delivering the vote of thanks on behalf of the school staff and students.

This session aimed to equip students with the right knowledge and attitude towards ensuring their own safety and contributing positively to society.
