Training to Farmers for Sustainable Agriculture

21 March 2024, Chakai-Deoghar: Under SBI Gram Saksham project in Chakai (Jamui, Bihar) and Deoghar Sadar (Deoghar, Jharkhand) by NBJK with support of SBI Foundation, farmers’ training activities are on progress.

On 16th March at Kalibak village of Chakai block, 60 farmers from Kalibak, Badiyadih and Mamtadih villages have participated in a training focused upon scientific methods of cultivation as well as convergence with government schemes. Mr. Rajeev Sinha (Agriculture Consultant, Chakai block) and Mr. Dev Narayan Singh (Farming Expert) were resource persons. They provided valuable inputs about profitable agriculture and updated over various ongoing schemes by the government to support farmers.

Another training program was held on 17th at Modidih village in Deoghar Sadar block. This was attended by 60 farmers from Modidih, Digharia, Gokhuldih and Babudih villages. Agriculture experts Mr. Sandeep Kumar and Mr. Jharkhandi Prasad Yadav from ATMA have made the event much inclusive by elaborating conventional plus organic ways of agriculture. They shared their expertise about low water crops and fishery for good return to farmers.
