World Diabetes Day Celebrated with a Mega Eye Screening Camp

14 November 2023, Hazaribagh: NBJK’s Rural Eye Health Program-Netra Vasant, with support from Sightsavers India, has celebrated World Diabetes Day with much fanfare.

Under our collaborative efforts, a mega eye screening camp at Sadar Hospital witnessed a remarkable turnout. Diabetic Retinopathy, Glaucoma, and Cataract screenings were conducted, alongside free spectacle dispensing.

Healthcare Heroes Present: NCDs Nodal Officer, Eye Department Incharge, Ophthalmologist, Medical Staff, and LNJP Eye Hospital Camp Team.

Camp Results:

• Total Screenings: 102
• Diabetic Retinopathy Cases: 59
• Doctor-Patient Consultations: 7
• Glaucoma Cases: 1
• Cataract Diagnosed: 15
• Free Spectacles Dispensed: 48
