Amoli Apurva Primary School at village-Prajapat Nagar, Mangarh (Choupran, Hazaribagh) is one among eight schools being run by NBJK in rural areas of Jharkhand-Bihar. AAPS addresses the need of primary education for economically backward families from Prajapat Nagar and seven neighboring villages. This co-educational school is from class Nursery to Sixth and 175 students study here. Out of these children, 50 are sponsored and remaining pay a nominal fee.
Due to financial scarcity, AAPS lacks proper infrastructure and there were no ceiling-fans in the class-rooms. It was felt that during summer time classes become hot and inconvenient but because of fund constraints, the management couldn’t do anything.
Around a year back Dr Nand Kumar, his wife Mrs. Chanda Devi and family members have visited the school with Mr. Girija Satish (President, NBJK). They talked to the teachers-students and eventually Dr. Nand Kumar came to know about of the need of ceiling-fans in class-rooms. He took the issue seriously and assured to provide the fans soon.
Within two-three months of the visit, keeping his words Dr. Nand Kumar has donated 10 ceiling-fans to AAPS. Presently all the class-rooms of this school are equipped with fans. Now the children & teachers don’t face any trouble during summer days.
On behalf of the teaching, non-teaching staffs and students of Amoli Apurva Primary School, Prajapat Nagar, NBJK expresses sincere gratitude to Dr. Nand Kumar, his better half Mrs. Chanda Devi and their family members for this kind gesture.
