14 December 2022, Bhubaneswar (Odisha): Carers Worldwide has organized a dissemination workshop at Bhubaneswar (Odisha) for its project partners associated with Caring for Carers programme in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Odisha, Jharkhand states of India.
On behalf of NBJK, Mr. Rajkumar Gupta (Asst. Program Coordinator) has participated in the event with Mr. Sumitra Kumari and Mr. Vijay Paswan from “Pragati Carers Seva Sanstha”, a registered body of Carers facilitated at Hazaribagh by NBJK & Carers Worldwide jointly. Mrs. Kumari is the president of PCSS while Mr. Paswan works as its secretary. PCSS works with the carers of their physically/mentally challenged, chronic sick, old aged dependents.
Dr. Anil Patil (Founder & ED, Carers Worldwide) was the keynote speaker of this workshop focused upon the ways to support unpaid family carers. As the chief guest, Mrs. Sulochna Das (Mayor, Bhubaneswar) shared the grief of carers and assured to influence policy makers to take steps in that direction.
Also the representatives from states’ partners have presented about their works and achievements. From Jharkhand, Mr. Rajkumar Gupta (NBJK) has briefed upon the activities going on with carers, their SHGs and promotion of livelihood initiatives NBJK encourages sincerely. The workshop held on 13th December 2022.
