21 October 2022, Hazaribagh: Under Inclusive Eye Health program by NBJK run LNJP Eye Hospital, NBCP, NHM, JSLPS and Sightsavers, a workshop upon Stakeholder Mapping & Formation of Stakeholders’ Network held at NBJK Co-ordination office, Amrit Nagar, Hazaribagh. The workshop has been attended by many Mukhiyas, PRIs members, social workers and persons associated with VOs from Sadar, Katkamsandi and Daroo blocks of Hazaribagh district.
It began with welcome address by Mr. Satish Girija (Secretary, NBJK) who introduced NBJK’s different programs briefly and informed about the free services available for old aged, deprived & differently abled persons under Inclusive Eye Health program. Mr. Satish Girija said that LNJP Eye Hospital, Bahera treats almost all vision problems except eye transplantation with the target to make Hazaribagh district Cataract Free within next one year.
As the resource person, Mr. Dashrath Kumar (Balaji Child Development, Ranchi) made a presentation over types of disability, rights of persons with disabilities, their accessibility and removal of barriers. He also threw light on the ways to connect differently-abled people with IEHP. During the workshop, Ms. Nidhi Kshetri (DPM), Mr. Deepak Sharma and Mr. Varun Pandey from Social Inclusion Program by Sitesavers, discussed about maximum involvement of PwDs in eye checkup camps and the facilities to be offered them at public places. Mr. Kirti Rawat (DPM, IEHP) has shared about the objectives, activities and provisions of Inclusive Eye Health Program.
Mrs. Saroj Devi (Mukhiya, Sindur), Mrs. Rekha Devi (Up-Mukhiya, Oriya), Mrs. Geeta Devi (Ward Member, Oriya), Mrs. Archana Devi (Ward Member, Birbir), Mr. Dinesh Kumar (Mukhiya, Rola), Mr. Krishna Mehta (Mukhiya, Amanari), Mr. Narayan Prasad (Mukhiya, Singhani), Mr. Amit Kumar (Mukhiya, Oriya), Mr. Anwarul Haque (Mukhiya, Khutra), Mr. Dilip Paswan (Mukhiya, Lupung), Mr. Ashok Yadav (Member-Panchayat Samiti, Oriya) etc have assured full co-operation in making the eye checkup camps successful.
A total of 45 people participated in the event.
