Exposure Visit for Farmers

17 October 2022, Chanho-Khunti: Under HDFC Bank supported Holistic Rural Development Program by NBJK in Chanho block of Ranchi district, some farmers associated with an FPO Chanho Birsa Munda Sangathan Producer Company Limited promoted through the program have availed exposure visit for their capacity building.

They visited Murhu Nari Shakti Kisan Producer Co. Ltd., another FPO facilitated by NBJK under aegis of Lakhpati Kisan Smart Village program in Khunti district with support of CInI-Tata Trusts.

MNSKPCL is an experienced Farmer Producer Organization and doing well for years. The Chanho farmers have visited its operational villages in Murhu block of Khunti district and met progressive farmers like Mr. Juran Munda, who is cultivating Dragon Fruit and making profit from agriculture. Mr. Juran started this new crop after getting idea from a friend and he suggested the visitors to work with devotion & faith.

CBMSPCL group was led by Mr. Sunil Kumar Gupta (Asst. Program Manager-HRDP) and many farmers like Mr. Sunil Oraon (Board Member, CBMSPCL), Mrs. Devanti Devi, Mrs. Shanti Devi, Mr. Bandhu Oraon and others were in the group. Mr. Sunil Kr. Gupta said that well-being of farmers and their income enhancement is a priority of HRDP.
