06 August 2022, Hazaribagh:  Abandoned aged persons and spastic children availed eye care facilities under Inclusive Eye Health program by NBJK with support of Sightsavers. A medical team from the organization run LNJP Eye Hospital, Bahera (Chauparan, Hazaribagh) has visited Old Age Home, Dipugadha and Spastic School, Hurhuru at Hazaribagh urban.

At Old Age Home, 21 senior citizens went through their eye checkup and 9 have been detected with Cataract. LNJPEH will arrange their surgery, medicines & glasses. 8 old aged persons were suffering from Refractive Error and they will be provided spectacles by the hospital. Another screening camp took place at Spastic School and ensured eye test for 20 spastic children there. Such 3 children will get glasses for vision problem because of refractive error.

All the services are being provided free of cost under the program.

Mr. Niraj Kumar and Mr. Sanatan Kumar (Staffs, Old Age Home) as well as Mr. Manish Kumar Sinha (Secretary), Mr. Surendra Kumar (Spl. Educator), Mrs. Suniya Devi, Mrs. Seeta Devi, Mr. Vijay Ambashtha of Spastic School have cooperated to organize the camps. LNJPEH medical team was comprised by Mr. Pravin Singh (Optometrist), Mrs. Seema Devi (ANM), Mr. Lakhan Ram & Mr. Dinesh Ram (Mobilizers). Mr. Kirti Rawat (DPC-Eye Health, Sightsavers), Ms. Nidhi Kshetri (DPC-Social Security, Sightsavers) and Mr. Deepak Sharma (Facilitator-SS, Sightsavers) were present on the occasion.
