Social Workers Honoured Founders of NBJK

28 December 2021, Amrit Nagar (Hazaribag): At co-ordination office of NBJK, some eminent social workers associated with #JPMovement in unified Bihar previously have honoured the founders of NBJK (1971), who are leaders of #LokSamiti also, a non-political organization launched by Loknayak Jay Prakash in 1977. Mrs. Poonam Ranjan (Trustee, Samvad-Ranchi) and Messrs Ghanshyam (Judaw, Madhupur), Hemant (Ex-Journalist, Hindustan Daily-Patna), Vinod Ranjan (Mantri, Gandhi Smarak Nidhi-Patna), Uday (Cultural Activist, Bhagalpur) with Shekhar (Artist-Film Maker & Treasurer, Samvad-Ranchi) were parts of this team of social workers.

The felicitation ceremony began with a group song upon rural community awareness and Mr. Ghanshyam has exemplified #NavBharatJagritiKendra, the organization completed 50 years successfully is like a model before contemporary social workers-activists. NBJK has not only promoted hundreds of VOs but developed a better work culture for their sustainability too, he pointed out. After that Mr. Ghanshyam & team members have honoured Mr. Girija Satish (President, NBJK), Mr. Satish Girija (Secretary, NBJK) and Mr. Prabhu Nath Sharma (Treasurer, NBJK) with shawl, diary & pen turn by turn.

On this occasion, Mr. Girija Satish expressed gratitude towards the respecters and called them as people with commitment for social change and conservation of natural resources. He said that whether we do any constructive work or join any advocacy campaign, it needs an ideological training and we should ensure this for our workers & beneficiaries.

During the event, Mr. Hemant has shared JP’s imprisonment memoirs of Nashik jail and suggested for organizational improvement for Lok Samiti as well as assessment of constructive works being done by any VO. Mr. Uday stressed upon ideological base, termed democracy as a power of thoughts and expressed his hope for any alternative of state power. Mr. Vinod Ranjan has mentioned about contribution of NBJK & Lok Samiti for social transformation through Inter-caste / Inter-faith marriage conventions.

About all staffs of NBJK co-ordination office have participated in the felicitation ceremony which ended after vote of thanks by Mr. Shankar Rana (Co-ordinator Jharkhand State Lok Samiti).
