Training on Tailoring & Sewing Machine Maitenance for Women @UshaIntl @ushasilaischool

13 December 2021, Chakla (Ranchi): Under Usha Silai School Program with support of Usha International Ltd., NBJK has organized tribal focused training for 10 ST women from different villages of Khunti Sadar, Murhu & Adki blocks in Khunti district. Also one woman Mrs. Preeti Kumari from village-Rola, sadar block, Hazaribag has joined the training as an adopted participant.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Ram Lakhan Singh (NBJK, Chakla) who stressed upon hard labour for any success and conveyed best wishes for all the trainees. Also Mr. Felix Tirkey (Program Officer, UIL), Mr. Vanshidhar Thakur (NBJK, Chakla) and Mr. Shailesh Kumar (Program Coordinator, NBJK) were present on the occasion.

Initial two days of the training have been concentrated upon acquaintance with parts & functioning, faults & fixing, precautions etc with Mr. Gopal Kumar Mishra (Servce Engineer, UIL) as the resource person. On remaining days, the trainees will go through practical knowledge of clothes cutting, designing & dress making under guidance of Mrs. Pammi Devi (Trainer, UIL).

After completion of the training on 21 December 2021, each woman will get a new sewing machine, signage board, guide book and a certificate to start Usha Silai School separately.
