23 November 2021, Churchu: 39 girl students of NBJK run Roshni Dhruva High School have received Smart Cell Phones with support of Amazon’s Delivering Smile Campaign & GiveIndia. These girls belong to low income group families and keeping view of the need of online learning, mobile phones made available to them.
As the chief guest of this event, Mr. Indradev Rajwar (Officer In-charge, Churchu PS) said that during Corona caused lockdown, majority of students have missed online classes just for the reason that they couldn’t afford smart phones. This happened due to lack of means and NBJK’s effort to fill the gap is commendable, he remarked. Mr. Rajwar mentioned about two tribal women those clicked medical and civil service examinations despite all adversarities.
Before this, Mr. Shankar Rana (Asst. Program Coordinator, NBJK) has introduced the program and stressed upon ease of access to new technology in this changed situation. On this occasion, Dr. Mrs. Pooja Prakash (Asst. In-charge, CHC-Churchu) praised NBJK & support agencies for providing Smart phones to school girls and this single step can make them confident to do better, she said. Mr. Murari Sahay (BEEO, Churchu) insisted for preventive measures still needed against Covid and offered useful tips about online classes. Mr. Dineshwar Singh (Head Teacher, RDHS) said that even with limited resources, as a team we have tried our best to update the students and expect that more smart phones may be distributed among needy children again. Some girls like Lakshmi, Tara and Angel have shared their experiences of online classes. Mr. Atish Pingua (Program Coordinator, NBJK) expressed thanks to all for cooperation.
The program took place in presence of Mrs. Baby Rani, Mrs. Shanta Kumari, Mrs. Usha Dungdung, Mr. Pintu Kumar, Mr. Umeshwar Choudhary, Mr. Vijay Kumar, Md. Imran Ansari, Mr. Kirti Tiwary (all teachers) and around 150 school children.
