22 November 2021, Chakla (Ranchi): Under NBJK run Usha Silai School program with support of Usha International Limited, a series of tribal exclusive training is going on and now 20 tribal women from Kamdara, Basia, Raidih & Dumri blocks of Gumla district have joined the same for period of 22-30 November 2021.
This started at NBJK’s training center at Chakla village near Ormanjhi, Ranchi and inaugurated by Mr. Ram Pravesh Prasad (In-charge, NBJKTC) with Mr. Felix Tirkey (Representative, UIL), Mrs. Sandhya Agrawal & Mrs. Nusrat Praween (both Trainers), Mr. Kamaljit Sharma (Sewing Machine Sevice Engineer, UIL) and Mr. Shailesh Kumar (Program Coordinator, NBJK).
The trainees will learn cutting & sewing of different dresses especially for women-children as well as servicing of sewing machine along with some life skills too. After completion of this 9 days training, each participant will get a new sewing machine, signage board, guide book and certificate.
These tribal women are supposed to open Usha Silai School at their respective villages where they will teach tailoring to aspirant women/girls and can provide paid service like any professional tailor.
