20 November 2021, Ranchi: Under NBJK run program of Child Reporters in Ranchi with support of UNICEF Jharkhand, the Child Reporters/CRs have got an opportunity to celebrate World Children’s Day with Honorable Chief Minister and His Excellency the Governor of Jharkhand.
The CRs met Mr. Hemant Soren (Hon. CM) at his residential office and one among them asked him about Covid Vaccine for children. Making a vaccine needs some time but the pace with our scientists have developed the vaccines for adult ensures us that soon they will make the same for children also, he replied. Another CR has drawn Hon. CM’s attention over need of concrete roof at Government Middle School, BIT Mesra (Ranchi). One more child questioned about lack of proper facilities in schools for Online Education and Hon. CM has assured CRs for improvement in this situation shortly.
There were 10 CRs in meeting with Hon. CM who praised them for positive message upon education, health, nutrition, child rights and said that the state govt. keeps vigil over Covid infection to open schools in phased out manner including resumption of classes in Primary schools in near future.
On the occasion of World Children’s Day, Raj Bhawan (Hon. Governor’s House) was decorated with blue light and H. E. the Governor Mr. Ramesh Bais has talked to CRs about their works & challenges. Also a drawing competition held among children over the theme “A Better Future for Every Child” for World’s Children Day this year.
