06 September 2021, Kawakol (Nawada, Bihar): Under joint auspices of NBJK & Usha International, 9 days residential training upon sewing machine maintenance and apparel making has been started for tribal women at Sarvodaya Ashram, Sokhodewra in Nawada district of Bihar.
Mr. Arvind Kumar (Secretary, Sarvodaya Ashhram) inaugurated this Tribal Exclusive #UshaClassicalSilaiSchoolTrainingProgram and conveyed his best wishes to 20 trainee women came from nearby villages like Jhilar, Gaighat, Mananpur, Lalpur etc.
The trainees are learning to set fittings of sewing machine, it’s functioning along with clothes designing, cutting and finishing. Mrs. Ameera Anzum, Mrs. Sumitra Devi and Mrs. Seema Sharma are trainers for this batch while Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sharma and Vishnudev Paswan from NBJK have joined the event as support staffs.
Mr. Shailesh Kumar (Program Co-ordinator, NBJK) informed that after completion of the training, each trainee woman will be provided a new Sewing Machine, a Signage Board, a Tailoring Guide Book and a Certificate for linkage to self-employment with initiation of Usha Silai School at their respective places.
