26 July 2021, Hazaribag:  Right from the first COVID Care Outreach Camp on 15 June at Silawar panchayat in Sadar block, it continued to total 59 panchayats of Sadar, Daru, Katkamsandi & Katkamdag blocks till 24 July with 72 camps and ensured 5014 OPD from 216 villages. The people went through checkup of fever, blood pressure, sugar, oxygen level & cold-cough-throat infection, obtained medical consultation and about 85% have got medicines free of cost.

These camps are being organized by NBJK with support of GiveIndia, US GiveIndia Foundation, Skoll Foundation and Linde India. Mr. Anjani Kumar Sinha (Program Manager) said that among the people after checkup, about 6% are found with high blood pressure and roughly 10% with high sugar but they were unaware of such development. Those patients have availed physician’s advice & medicines, he informed.

In the program, two teams organize two outreach camps daily except on Sunday and support kit with 1 oximeter, 1 infrared thermometer & 1 bottle of sanitizer have been provided to each of 75 identified Rural Medical Practitioners (RMPs) for delivery of safe service across villages. It is noteworthy that the campaign of COVID Care Rural Outreach Camp has the target of free medical checkup & medicines to around 9000 people from 400 villages of the district.
