#ReliefMaterials Distribution among #FloodStricken People @ActionVillageIn

8 – 9 November 2017, East & West Champaran (Bihar): Bihar Pradesh Lok Samiti and NBJK have distributed relief materials among flood stricken people in the districts of East Champaran and West Champaran in Bihar. AVI-UK has provided financial support for such initiative took place with help of local voluntary organizations.

On 8th November, NBJK representatives Mr. Satyendra Kumar and Mr. Shankar Rana have joined the Relief Material Distribution program at Motihari (East Champaran) organized by District Unit of Lok Samiti and Alok Foundation, a local VO. Mr. Ray Sundar Dev Sharma (President, Dist. LS & Alok Foundation), Mr. Digvijay Kumar (Director, IDEA & Secretary, Dist. LS) and Mrs. Sangita Chitransh (Chairperson, District Child Welfare Committee) were present during distribution of relief materials among 61 surveyed beneficiaries. Each beneficiary got a Pressure Cooker (5 litres, 1 no.), Iron Cot (1 no.), Sari-Petticoat-Blouse (1 set), Container with cap (1 set), Water Jug/Lota (1 no.), Laddle (1 no.), Flat Laddle (1 no.), torch (1 no.) and Mosquito Net (1 no.).

On 9th, a similar program held for 85 beneficiaries at JP Smriti Kutir, Bettiah with support of Samagra Shikshan Evam Vikas Sansthan and West Champaran Lok Samiti. Each beneficiary got Awning / Tirpaal (1 no.), Mosquito Net (2 nos.), Red Gram Pulse (2 Kg) and Red Lentils Pulse (2 Kg) here and expressed sincere gratitude towards the people behind the support. Messrs Harendra Pandit, Aman Raj, Kunal Jha, Shibu Mitra, Aman Tiwary, Rohit, Omprakash Jaiswal and many others have extended their sincere cooperation in organizing the relief material distribution events.
