#Rural Development Secretary Visits NBJK Work Area in Khunti @tatatrusts

18 August 2015, Khunti: Mr. N. M. Sinha, IAS (Principal Secretary, Ministry of Rural Development, GoJ) has paid a visit to Latardih and Ruthdih villages of Gutuhatu panchayat in Murhu block (district – Khunti). These villages are work area of NBJK under agriculture & livestock rearing based livelihood program for tribal community with support of CInI-Tata Trust, Mumbai. During his visit, Mr. Sinha has observed the work approach and interacted with villagers. He visited tomato plot patch, lac cultivation locality and a collective nursery of cabbage. The farmers and SHG members were open to the senior bureaucrat and explained him about their modus operandi including income pattern and problems they face Mr. N. M. Sinha has suggested them to plan properly for water resource structures and instructed district officials to collate such works in MGNREGA schemes. Mr. Rajesh (board member, CInI), Ms Vartika Jiani, Mr. Shirsendu Paul, Ms Garima Kumari (Tata Trust), Mr. Mohit Purty and Mr. Abhijit Mal (NBJK, Khunti) have accompanied the RD Secretary for visiting the villages.
