Lok Samiti Footing in Madhya Pradesh @FreedomCommons

19 July, Chhatarpur: Lok Samiti, the people’s organization founded by veteran Sarvodaya leader Jaiprakash Narayan, has expanded its wing in Madhya Pradesh also. Mindful citizens have taken initiative and a meeting was held at Gandhi Smarak Bhawan, Chhatarpur on 19 July                                                       under leadership of Mr. Ramcharan Awasthi, a freedom fighter and follower of Mahatma Gandhi. The meeting was observed by Mr. Kaushal Ganesh Azad (National Coordinator) and Mr. Ashok Sharan (Member, National Executive) to see the procedure and further task of organizational expansion for Lok Samiti in Madhya Pradesh. This resulted as the formation of Madhya Pradesh Lok Samiti and names of the office bearers have been declared as Mr. Bhupendra Tripathi (President), Mr. Rajendra Namdev (Secretary), Prof. S. R. Paul (Treasurer) and Mr. Ravi Prakash Shukla (Spokesperson). While Mr. Sanjay Singh, Mr. Brij Bihari, Mr. Prabhat Tiwari, Mr. Lal Singh Gaud, Mr. Yatindra Kaushik and Mr. Ankit Mishra are members of state executive committee. The state committee has released a list of district coordinators as Mr. Prabhat Tiwari (Chhatarpur), Mr. Lal Singh Gaud (Tikamgarh), Mr. Vinod Niranjan      (Panna), Quazee Ekhtyar Hussain (Shahdol), Mr. Sanjay Bishwas (Anup Pur) and Mr. Dashrath Singh (Sagar). Newly elected president of MPLS Mr. Bhupendra Tripathi has expressed commitment for democratic values and mass awareness on the issues of reform in election system & judiciary, prohibition to liquor & superstitious practices, agriculture, governance and communalism. He assured for formation of executive committee in all districts and a state level convention till December 2015.
