17 May 2017, Bahera (Chouparan): NBJK run Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Eye Hospital started a Diploma Course in Ophthalmic Assistance (DCOA) and admission is open from today. Mr. Girija Satish (President, NBJK) has inaugurated a simple function on this occasion and expressed satisfaction that LNJPEH will shape up efficient eye care professionals also in coming days. He appealed the newly enrolled students to work hard in a disciplined way and said that such skilled youths will serve the community well. There were 5 students who got admission for DCOA to be started from June this year.

The course is with limited seats, costs Rs. 20,000 and covers 2 years duration with hostel facility. The trainees will have to pay for their food. The minimum eligibility for admission is +2 or Intermediate passed with Science stream and it’s open for girls and boys both.

On this occasion, Mr. Gandharv Gaurav (Program Director, NBJK) has welcomed all and valued DCOA as one of the most useful course needed for eye care services. This covers systematic knowledge about all eye diseases and treatment systems within the period of two years, Mr. Gaurav informed.

The function was accompanied by Messrs Virendra Sinha (Branch Manager), Tripan Das (Hospital Manager), Vikrant Singh, Dinesh Saw, Abhishek Kr. Sinha, Pankaj Kumar, Suvendu Kr. Pandey, Vijay, Ashish Polak, Mintu Rajak, Karunanidhi and Mrs. Anita Devi from NBJK Ashrama and Loknayak Jay Prakash Eye Hospital.
